Pope Felix I was the fourth leader of the Friends of Kragnux and the second formal Pope, after his father Xoniface. Ruling for 49 years, Felix was the longest reigning leader of the Kragnux religion, heading the church between 742 and 791 PR.
History[edit | edit source]
Born Leader[edit | edit source]
When Felix's adopted mother Skelya was pregnant, his father announced that Felix would succeed him as pope months before Felix's birth. On the day of his supposed "birth", his father was brutally killed by Skelya's true form, the dragon Sorventh.
The baby Felix was actually born in 724 a week earlier to unknown human parents in a hamlet near Wyvern Mountain. The week after he was born, Pope Xoniface and his wife Skelya of the Friends of Kragnux had given birth to their child, a dragonborn. Xoniface rejected the child, and after killing her husband, Skelya fled to the hamlet and abducted the newborn Felix, choosing to raise him as her own newborn. These facts were never revealed to Felix in his life, and he truly believed Skelya and Xoniface were his birth parents.
Papal Reign[edit | edit source]
When Felix turned 21, his mother Skelya disappeared overseas in Pteris, seemingly on one last crusade against rival church The Draconic Redeemers. Before she went into hiding, she told Felix that if anything were to go wrong, if someone were to try to destroy the church, to seek safe haven there at Wyvern Mountain. Felix's immediate circle also knew these instructions.
The Battle of Chad[edit | edit source]
Almost instantly after the "Battle of Chad", as Levinkan authorities swarmed the church, the Friends of Kragnux took Thwack, Stumblebum, the other relics, and moved them deep into the mountain so that Sorventh can plan whatever her next step is.
