Alistair Hearthorne is a Galik aristocrat who dedicated themselves to the demoness Mother and is the partner of Lenore Hearthorne. Alongside their partner they spearheaded the operations to prepare for Mother's ascension. Through these plans Alistair successfully became the High Burgher of Galik. Alistair was later slain during The Thelryan Restoration.
Physical Appearance[edit | edit source]
In his human form Alistair is a suave and handsome human noble in a dark suit with long black hair and sparkling eyes. In his true form he is a horrifying fungal zombie wearing a rotted wedding suit with a head of blooding mushrooms.
History[edit | edit source]
Alistair Hearthorne was the youngest son of the Hearthorne family, with older brothers Lucius and Benjamin Hearthorne, and younger sister Jaqueline Hearthorne. He was raised on his father's stories of a mysterious lost city in the Amusan wilds named Thelrya. As he grew up he demonstrated cruel and violent tendencies, isolating himself from his family, but also drawing him close to his future partner Lenore who was of a similar mind set. Alistair would later learn from his father that he would not be receiving any inheritance and so he and Lenore set off into the wilds in hopes to find Thelrya and see what power they could take from it. In Thelrya they would find Mother who promised them great power in return for their devotion. Using this power, Alistair returned home, killed his brother Lucius, drove Benjamin insane, and poisoned his parents, becoming the head of the family.
Using their wealth and influence Alistair and Lenore would establish a cult of Mother in Western Amusa and begin to lay the seeds for Mother's plan to ascend to godhood. They determined that the city of Galik was the biggest obstacle to achieving their plans, and so Alistair ran for High Burgher in order to destabilize the city. After becoming High Burgher he would kill the Council of Burghers and attempt to change Galik's greatest laws and scatter the city's forces. After being stopped by members of The Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company, he and Lenore fled to Thelrya and were banished from the city.
Mother's master plan was to use the major leyline in Thelrya to become a god, a plan inhibited by a powerful time stop that was cast over it. The plan to break the spell was to conduct a ritual through Alistair and Lenore's wedding. Alistair was killed by members of the Tempest Brother's Expeditionary Company before he could properly be married to Lenore.
Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]
Through Mother's blessing Alistair was granted immense speed, strength, and resilience. He also possessed the ability to create explosive spores which he would infect his enemies with. While wearing his wedding ring, Alistair could not be killed if Lenore was alive.
