Wvictor "Niebelung" Hal Driklar was an Illumian Mystic researcher from the Corpsus Academy, from the Order of the Awakened.

A student from Champerty, Niebelung hopes to get to Galik and attend to the largest libraries in the realm.
History[edit | edit source]
Niebelung's father was a scholar working for The ArchCrystal Tower in Galik where he was raised, the Tower was a massive labyrinth of magic and knowledge, and it wasn't impossible to get lost. That is the unfortunate fate that befell his father one day. When he was a teenager, his younger sister Glittoria went missing as well, after she snuck into the stacks using an exterior entrance on the 8th floor.
Vwictor took the pseudonym "Niebelung" from a book he read growing up about a trickster who always had a backup plan up his sleeve. Always wanting to be ready for any situation, especially following the loss of his father and sister, Vwictor gave up his birth name and referred to himself as Niebelung, reminding himself of the promise he made to always be prepared.
The OathWielders[edit | edit source]
Finishing his degree at Corpsus Academy, Niebelung accepted a political internship, traveling across the continent to the east coast, where he was stationed at The Delvin to shadow a local ambassador for Champerty. It was here that he witnessed the attack on the city by Zuri the Stone Giant.
Knowing about the mystical arts, Niebelung correctly deduced that the giant was under mental control, and coordinated with the other first responders to locate and take out (violently) the fellow mystic in their presence. Searching the criminal's body, he discovered a counterfeit ID which seemed to place the blame for the attack on Champerty (a fellow student known as Shargone who Niebelung unfondly remembered as being the "head of the class" despite being "abandoned by his father" and having "a mysterious third nipple").
In the city of Balabag he would use his mystical powers to become the hero and leader of a group known as "The Seven Drunks", earning him the title "Snow White".
When exposed to Fearmones, Niebelung saw visions of his father standing at the top of The Archcrystal Tower, and he battled visions of living evil books.
Niebelung (and his teammates) would be rescued by Champerty spies while fighting on The Phantom Front, teleported over the war front by a group of elite teleporting agents.
Niebelung took a day job while the team was stationed for a couple weeks in Jewelspar as a city tour guide, taking the opportunity to teach himself about the city's rich history while spouting back that same history at it's own citizens, and making money all the while.

Behind the Screen[edit | edit source]
- In the DM notes, Niebelung was written to have a goal of "Learn Fantastical Things and Make it Back to the Library", which he accomplished, the Library becoming a major part of the campaign's final chapter.
