Julian McFlair is the ancestor of Zugs McFlair, and a globe trotter that brought the McFlair bloodline to Galik.

Julian learned how to use Shadow Magic at Scua's School of Shadows (The S3, also called the School of Sneaky Stuff).
As an Air Genais, he did not need to breathe, which allowed him to tackle several underwater missions with his teams, including the retrieval of a light-artifact of Lathander, and retrieval of bones from Dragon Turtle Bay.

Champert Spy[edit | edit source]
After his studies at Scua's School, Julian was enlisted to serve Champerty in Realm War I, and assigned a mission to sneak into a society of Half-Orcs called Owtkast after it was reported that a Troverthian Changeling had escaped into the area. Being a master of shadows and disguises, Julian was able to sniff out the doppelganger, leading to it's capture after. However, he did not do it alone, it was only with the assistance of The Oathwielders that Julian could complete his mission for the kingdom.
OathWielder[edit | edit source]
After the successful capture of the doppelganger, Julian had completed his mandated service, and was required to return to the kingdom capital Friþleas for formal dischargement. As the OathWielders were also headed there to investigate the Corpsus Academy, the two parties joined each other for the short journey (aided by teleportation magic).
Back in the city, Julian formally became an OathWielder when he put his own life on the line, working alongside them when the city's Mindquarters erupted in a blast. An act of war from the very changeling that they had helped capture. After saving countless lives together, Julian decided to continue working alongside the team as they investigated the Corpsus Academy (possibly also influenced by the minor crush he was adopting on OathWielder Roha).
Julian would be tasked by Scua's School of Shadow with a number of secret missions to undertake while he was abroad, and as he succeeded on the missions, they taught him new techniques of mastering the shadows, including the summoning of Shadow Hounds.
The Oath Panel[edit | edit source]
One such mission he was assigned was to repair the reputation of the OathWielders after rumors around the world about Drake's Deal spread. The school did not want S3 to be associated. In order to save face, Julian decided to take the team to the largest tavern in Jewelspar, and to open the floor to any and all questions that the public might have for the team.
