Dynia is a fey trickster spirit and an acolyte of the Gourdheart Disciples, an order that worships the act of eating. He is the self-proclaimed "Herald of Hallow's Eve" and has made it his personal mission to return the orange dragon Xevriss to Amusa.
Physical Appearance[edit | edit source]
Dynia is a lanky humanoid creature wearing orange, purple, and green frilly and eccentric clothing. He wears a large floppy pointed hat which holds an extra dimensional space within and has a lit jack-o-lantern for a head.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Dynia is eccentric, erratic, and easily excited. He enjoys playing tricks on others, but sometimes cannot see that a trick may have gone to far. He has a near unhealthy obsession with Hallow's Eve and is devoted to worship the great Devourer of Gourd's, Xevriss.
History[edit | edit source]
Dynia is a spirit embodying the spirit of Hallow's Eve, originating from the Feywild. He was the head chef of The Court of Hallow's Eve and managed his kitchen with many duplicates of himself. At some point he joined the Gourdheart Disciple and become a well known acolyte within the order. Here he honed his skills as a chef and learned about Xevriss.
He first met members of the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company when he was visiting the snail village of Escargotia in attempts to gain access to the villages leyline. He assisted the members free the villages guardian when it was taken over by an agent of Old Alkinimic, parting with the heroes on good terms.
Dynia was next encountered when he crashed a party at the countryside estate of the Collector, where he used strange magic to transform all of the guests into the creatures their costumes depicted. Then, using a strange clockwork device merged with mushrooms he managed to enter into the Collector's vault where he recovered a crystalline pumpkin. When members of the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company tried to intervene, he used his magic to shrink them to tiny size. He left his Rag-o-Doll servants to keep watch over the manor while he used the crystal pumpkin artifact to perform a ritual to return Xevriss to Amusa.
In an attempt to satiate his master's hunger Dynia concocted a spell that stole all of Amusa's food and brought it to his domain in the Feywild. He was pursued into the Court of Hallow's Eve where he was defeated once and for all, returning all of the stolen food as well. Though while he was defeated, many of his duplicates remained.
Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]
Dynia wields powerful fey magic and has proficiency in all forms of illusion magic. His hat serves as an extradimensional space which he can store objects in. He can also make all manners of dishes using pumpkins.
