About

Map of Deeplake

After the popular rise of Automs in neighboring Sneerwell, Deeplake was met with a broker in 695 PR to ensure that an agreement could be reached to test new Pendergras Industries traveling devices between Sneerwell and Deeplake. The original discussions broke down as Anema's boss Colin called in with an emergency, forcing Anema to abandon the deal and return home (after a Protoforged attacked Sneerwell), but eventually a deal was reached, and Automs could be found in the city protecting officials well into the late 800s PR.

The Saufort house of nobles held notable influence over the otherwise "democratic" parliament of the city. While the aristocracy of Deeplake had long since been overpowered by the merchant class, noble names still held some social influence.

The city had at least one Musician's Guild.

In the early 800s PR as Dragons returned to the world at the start of The War of Many Names, one particular attack from The Green Stag (a famous and conniving Green Dragon) killed dozens of dock workers, and most of the merchant class retreated into a central zone of the city, guarded by the river and another set of interior walls. Protests grew and grew, and eventually a powerful silk trader known as Arbane Eilden was rumored to have started kidnapping and killing protesters. Arbane was later revealed to have been working hand in hand with the Green Stag.

The Stag was eventually stopped by the heroes of the Greedy Green.

Notable locations

The Church of Innovation a sort of half-religion half-guild with a focus on using new technological innovations such as Caeruleam to help the realm.

  • This particular chapter of the church in Deeplake was a puppet organization, working directly at the behest of The Green Stag

The Deeplake Academy a higher education institution with a famous team: "The Deeplake Academy Displacers" who often partook in the Olympia Magisteria.

The Kelp's Green Inn. The most seediest Inn in town, with little light and a killer roast.

The Museum of Bone Monsters. An exhibition of monster skeletons for everyone's education. During the 600s PR, the administration tried to establish the Dino Cave Exhibition, but suspiciously, the skeletons were continuously reanimated, which lead to the exhibitions final closure.
