History
Fenro was born into a loving family in the town of Helmfirth. His family quickly grew to a family of 6. Fenro's mother, Rosalind, worked hard to take care of their family and needs. She spend long hours making pottery and helping out the local bakery. Fenro's father was always busy training the small towns people and when he was off, he was training his own children. He was an excellent swordsman but really shined with a glaive in his hand. He retired from the Seglock town guard and found Rosalind shortly after and set up home in Helmfirth. With both parents always busy, Fenro found at an early age that people are gullible and easy to exploit. He was constantly getting in trouble and weaseling his way out of it. Luckily Fenro's bother and 2 sisters were always around to help him.
Fenro youngest sister, Amabelle, is training to be a healer at the local church in Helmfirth.
Sybil is Fenro's older sister. She was a trained fighter and very successful, but now resides back in Helmfirth after suffering some horrible injuries during a Goblin ambush. Her injuries cause her to limp where ever she goes.
Lenard is the oldest and the smartest. He left to travel the world and uncover the secrets it holds. In the last letter Fenro read, Lenard was deep in the books in some library trying to unearth something ancient.
At an older age, Fenro was sent away to an University in Windermere where he attended very little classes, but instead gambled. He lost a lot of gold coins as he learn the ins and outs of cheating. His silver tongue and story telling allowed him to talk his way out of situations but also into ones where he did not belong. During this time, he made a lot of enemies. The most notable is the Moon Rats, An underground mob. At the core of Windermere were corrupted individuals who all were scared or supported the Moon Rats. They "Protected" shops if you paid their fee and if you didnt, crime always seemed to find you. Through his gambling endeavors Fenro ended up owing a lot of money to the Moon Rats. During one of his escapes, something changed in him. He still doesnt know what, but he feels different and it all happened when he helped those children. And that is when Percy Giffard was born. It gave him a hidden identity to hide from the Moon Rats.
Percy would go on to continue to do good things for the people he encountered on his travels. He started to love the feeling of being wanted and needed. And as he did these things, he felt more powers flowing through him. One time he saved a few children from a gang of kobolds. He helped protect a small town from an assault and now he is currently helping the Watchful Eye in Gammelgard.

Quest Log:
(May-17 Greedy Green)
Percy had just arrived in Gammelgard. The town was impressive but he knew he didn't have much coin to his name. He immediately went to the Watchful Eye and found job postings. Percy accepted a job to help figure out what is happening with disappearing merchant carts. The Watchful Eye accepted him in and provided him with a room and a hot meal. In the morning he was greeted by the rest of the crew and the job details were revealed. With a bunch of fighters and some wonderful healers, Percy felt like this was going to be a nice easy job with no issues. With a plan in place, the huge Barbarians decided to be the surprise in the wagon. The plan seemed perfect and the group set out. After a few hours of friendly banter, Percy and Kellen noticed an odd tree down in the path. It looked as if the time was now and the party was ready... but so were the enemies. They flanked the wagons and the Barbarians of Mumiy and Vadath bursted out of the wagons. Catching these horribly dis formed unusual goblins into a slight disarray. But the Goblins were ready. They attacked back with numbers and venom. A bite from one of the goblins almost brought Vadath down to his knees. The party was in shambles. But with the help of the Clerics of Arlin and Reylendor, the party healed and fought back. A perfect spell from Cecil T Puddingtonworthshire XIX, Esq. put a little weakness in their numbers. Vadath and Mumiy took quick control while Kellen single handedly took out the front flank. Slowly they began to fall one by one, until the group captured their captain. Damaged and drained, Cecil interrogated the Goblin captain. He told the group the location of the goods stolen from the merchant Caravans. The group proceeded with caution. When they found the camp site, one of their scouts pointed out some strange creature. He was welding a weapon that looked like more danger than good. As a party, they decided to leave the unknown encampment and bring the Goblin captain back to Gammelgard. Percy accepted his rewards and was surprised how much he had received for not doing a whole lot during the battle. With a quick hop in his step he made it back to his room waiting to accept his next mission.

The next job came quickly. Falgrim gave them their next job. The Watchful Eye was able to gather even more information from the mutated goblin. It seems that a person named Horatio Chesire was behind these mutation and someone working under Longfang. Horatio Chesire was in the area and we were being set out to find him. The Watchful Eye sent us with some extra guards to help our travels and to help back us up if we needed. The trip was smooth until we had to walk to the rest of the way. The forest paths were well hidden but with the knowledge of the captured goblin captain, we were able to find a small house sitting on the bluff. Right where the goblin said it would be. While surveying the area, we were spotted by 2 mutated Orcs, with the giant weapons. Vadath slammed some potions and the rest is history. He quickly dispatched everything in his path. The rest of the group helped with some assists, but Vadath couldn't be stopped. It was in this moment that Percy, knew he wanted to work with this man. The group tried to help destroy these mutants but couldn't act fast enough. Vadath spun through them all. Horatio almost escaped, except Dancer found his secret tunnel and set a trap for he could get away. Destroying his plans, the group was able to clean up the house and destroy everything else they didn't bring back to the Watchful Eye. With Horatio in tow, the group made it back to Gammelgard. Once again, paid handsomely except this time. Percy's claim to fame in this fight, was knocking down a door to Horatio's Lab. After returning to Gammelgard, Percy struck up a conversation with Vadath and the Band of the Iron Hawk was born.

The Curators Call to Arms.
The Iron Eyrie was cold and quiet at this time of day. Many of the members were out and about except Percy. He sat in the comfortable chair next to the old stone hearth. His head was back and loud sounds of snoring erupted from him. Suddenly there was a sound at the door, Pounding or knocking but either way, it startled Percy. He clambered out of the chair to find a note sitting on the front step of the Eyrie. Quickly tearing through the envelope, he saw it was an invitation to a remote location. Someone called the Curator was beckoning him to come as fast as he could for a quest like no other. Percy ran through the Eyrie and grabbed his stuff to find this place.
After some time, he came across an old run down looking hamlet. It looked dilapidated but was definitely the location given to him. He quietly walked around the hamlet before he entered one of the bigger buildings. To his surprise, it was not rundown. It was filled with other people, some he recognized and others he did not. The inside was also cozy warm, and did not deserve an outside like it had. A man begins to walk down the polished wooden steps greeting everyone and introducing himself as the Curator. "I have an important mission for all of you. It is why I hand picked each and everyone of you. This quest is the upmost importance. Horatio Chesire has been found, but is up to some devious acts. If he succeeds in his evil endeavors, this world, as we know it, is doomed." said the Curator. Then he continued to talk about these Forges that were in a micro-plane of some sort. Percy was left a little confused but dedicated to the cause. The Curator then opened up his wares and magical abilities for everyone to prepare for their dangerous task. With everyone stocked up, they were all divided. Each group had to go into the micro-plane and defeat a forge that Horatio was taking over.
Groups were formed and separated. Percy fought with his small band of heroes. They had a surprise attack on a watchful or not so watchful goblin, With his hand blown off by an eldritch blast, the goblin began to alert his friends. The group was quickly surrounded. With a few attacks the enemies began to fall. Percy threw some of his fireball beads at some contraption in the corner... then things went south. Zev was battling a fanged beast with Percy until he was swallowed whole. The contraption in the corner began to summon some horrible monstrosity. Amber one of our warlocks was then hit by a ghoul and petrified, then buried under a collapsed ceiling. Cynthia was fighting this monstrosity when the contraption started to make a new creature. Percy was stuck with needing to help everyone he sprung into action and helped his swallowed companion. Once Zev was free, Percy made the quick decision to use the curators give to help Cynthia. She was becoming wedged between the two massive beast, barely standing. At this point, it didnt take long before each one of us started to fall. The end seemed close and victory was lost.
This is when the curator teleported Vadath and Delphi in to help us. Most of us had fallen and they were able to give us a second wind to defeat the contraption and the monstrosities. It wasnt easy but the forge was secure. We were teleported back and healed. Not much time had passed as we thought had being in the micro plane. However, the curator wasnt done with us just yet. He had one final quest, and it would be one of the hardest ones yet. We needed to destroy Horatio and his creations.
Percy was tasked with keeping one of the fey gates open. He was joined by 4 others while the rest were divide to fight Horatio and keep the other gate open. The waves of these creatures kept on flooding out of the maze beyond. One by one they attacked the front line Percy's companions have set up. The first attack knocked Percy down to one leg and from there he knew he cant let them hit him again. The group held until they were overwhelmed. A few of these horrid creatures made it past, but luckily we were able to stop them before they attacked the fey holding the portal open. There was a shift in the portals and we knew that the other portal fell. We didnt know how many were lost in the portals collapse but hopefully Horatio will soon be dead. Soon after the Curator whispered in our minds. "That is enough" and we were teleported back to the gathering hall.
Stories of the Great Percy Giffard
The Tale Of Percy Giffard's Birth
The night sky is filled with stars as the town of Windermere's lights dance across the smoke pouring out of the chimneys. The cold air bristles through the close alleys. Laughter, music and signing can be heard from the open window of The Drunken Goat. The outside is a modest two story tavern. Mostly made of brick covered in stucco, with wood supports. The Drunken Goat has seen some better days as the weather has eroded some of the stucco, the shutters hang a little wobbly, and mud splatters the baseboard around the outside. The heavy door swings outwards and a burst of warm air flows from inside. The tavern itself is packed. Passing traders seem to be the primary clientele here, which is often a good sign. Several long tables are occupied by what seems to be entire families, all enjoying the food, drinks and company of each other. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who clearly enjoy each other's company, though they seem to be strangers who have met here. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company. The patrons are pushing past each other to get to open spaces or tables. A man and a lute can be seen over the crowd on a heavily used stage. Some are singing along, others are lost in conversation, but in the far corner, a group is getting very rowdy.
“You are cheating aren't ya, you little weasel!” Shouts a burly old half-orc. He slams his hands down onto the table and beer sloshes out of the cups. Cards and dice go scattering as the rest of the table turns their focus on a very normal human. He is a very average height, build, and face for a human. His black hair is medium length and pulled behind his ears. Panic is spreading across his stubbled face as he begins to respond. “Come on Bobak! We just met! I would never ever cheat you…” “Shut your trap. I know ya up to something.” He turns his gaze to the other men around the table. “Get em men. The Moon Rats will love my dear friend Fenro.” As the men begin sliding their chairs back, Fenro quickly pushes the table hard against Bobak, while moving his hands in a sweeping motion across the table. The drinks and cups fly towards the other men that were beginning to stand. Fenro quickly swipes the pot of money and begins to push his way through the crowded tavern. The cold air smacks him hard as he leaves the tavern. He doesn't stop to think but runs. Left, Right, Right, Left, through the alleys of Windermere. The houses are all dark and the walls seem to be squeezing in on Fenro. His breath is getting shallow as the cold begins to sting his lungs. That is when he sees a little glow coming from beneath a few tattered clothes. Quickly, he approaches and slides into the tattered tent. A small fire is burning with a few tiny hands trying to warm up by the fire. Startled, the kids squeezed together and huddled in the corner. Fenro begins to take some of the ash and rub it into his clothes, on his face, and into his hair. He takes his dagger out and begins to quickly cut his hair and clothes. In a matter of minutes, his persona and features change. What was once a shirt is now a dirty, tattered mess of fibers and fabric, only barely able to hang from his shoulders like a discarded old towel. There's a big tear across the backside and holes all over the front, leaving much of him exposed to the elements. He looks over at the worried kids as heavy boots begin to clatter on the stone street. Fenro puts a finger to his mouth. The muffled voices can faintly be heard. “That weasel will get what is coming to him. I swear it.” Says a voice that sounds like Bobak’s. “If it is the person you described… We know him very well. He has been traveling this area and cheating us all out of our money. The Warden has wanted him for some time.” Says another gravelly voice. “Ya! The Warden don't like him very much. He says us Moon Rats better catch him! This weasel has stolen too much from our clan. First from Pendle, then from Kald and now from here. Maybe the slimy bastard is coming after us.” Says a scrawny mouse-like voice. “Maybe I just want gold and it is just pure luck that these Moon Rats are the dumbest bunch.” Says Fenro in a quiet whisper. The voices and steps begin to get louder as they walk down the street. They stop and see the tattered tent and approach. Bobak yells, “Oi! Who's in there! Come on out.” Fenro quickly looks at the kids and again motions them to be quiet, they nod as he carefully pulls back the tattered flap. With a cloth wrapped around his head and a hunched over posture, it is almost impossible to recognize Fenro. He replies back to Bobak in a frail cold voice. “It is just I and kids trying to stay warm, my good sir. Do you have any coins to spare, to help us through this cold night.” The group of men stare at Fenro and the kids before Bobak speaks up. “Ah bugger off you old coot” The man to the right of Bobak continues to stare at Fenro. He is standing there in dark leather armor. This set of armor has a coif with a face guard with the shape of a laughing face on one half and a crying face on the other. His eyes seem to pierce him through the mask, but he too turns and begins to follow behind Bobak. An emblem catches Fenro’s eye Out of the shadows, the scrawny man appears next to Fenro without making a sound. His pointy face resembles one of a rat. He bares his yellow teeth as he grins. “Now don't go staying here too long. We don't like your kind. You don't give us anything. You just take, take, take.” Says the scrawny man as he slinks back up to the group. Their footsteps echo off the walls and slowly dissipate down the alley. Fenro slowly closes the tent flap and huddles close to the fire. The heft of the coin purse seems to get heavier as Fenro looks at the kids huddled around the fire in the blistering cold night. He slowly pulls out the heavy coin purse. He pulls out a few of the gold coins and tosses the rest of the pouch at the kids.
At this moment, Garl Glittergold, The god of trickery, decided it would be fun to have a paladin of their own. Garl reached down and instilled a little bit of power into his new little friend. Fenro felt a wave of warmth flow through him as he watched the kids eyes go wide with the amount of gold in the purse. “Take it, and make a better life for yourself.” Says Fenro as he turns to leave the little tattered tent. One little boy speaks up for the first time. “What is your name sir?” Fenro stops and thinks a little bit before answering. “Percy Giffard sounds like an honorable name doesn't it.” The kids smile and nod their heads in agreement. “Then it is settled. My name is Percy Giffard. Tell your friends and family. Spread the word of the heroic efforts of the wondrous knight, Percy Giffard.” Percy gives the kids a wink and slips out of the tent. He quickly navigates around the town threw the shadows and leaves behind the town of Windermere.
