Realm War I took place between 2 PR and 33 PR in the immediate aftermath of The Holy War. The Realm War was fought for a variety of reasons. Many kingdoms battled over valuable land and resources on the surface, but others fought for dogmatic reasons, or for reasons that tied to race or heritage.

Breakwater's Bamboozle

In a devastating blow to the Champerty kingdom in 10 PR, the shogun of Troverth disguised himself as the Emporer of Troverth, whose public appearance was not well known or documented. After traveling to The Phantom Front, he caused a great scene, and was eventually ambushed and captured by magical enemies. Believing they had caught the leader of the whole dynasty, Champert forces escorted Shogun Breakwater to Champerty's highest courts in the Mindquarters of Friþleas, where the shogun revealed he had a sacrificial bomb in place all along, taking his own life, as well as most of Champerty's highest judiciaries. It was the vacuum in power that lead to Thurden Prismaris, a Glendoveer sympathizer, to take power in the government, a chain of events that would likely lead to Glendoveer's eventual take-over of the western Osugbo region.

The Destruction of Quixing

During the Realm War the nation of Troverth expanded its demon summoning operations, allowing the corrupting force of the Demon Lord Yeenoghu to begin seeping into their military. Led by Prince Feng Yuhan and the arcanist Mae Tadako, Troverth began development of a large arcane engine known as Project Dominion beneath the capital city of Quixing. The purpose of Project Dominion was to forcefully pacify enemy armies, but unknown to the Prince, Mae Tadako had changed it to affect every creature throughout Quelmar in an ill fated plan to end all war. But this was all according to the plan of Yeenoghu, who planned to strike and invade Quelmar once it's people were no longer able to fight back. But these plans were foiled by a group of heroes sent from the Delvin who infiltrated Quixing and detonated a large stockpile of unrefined ether beneath the city, blowing up both Project Dominion and Quixing.

Timeline

Year 10

The Phantom Front is established between Champerty and Troverth.

Year 11

In early 11 PR, the realm was struck by a deadly genocide as thousands died seemingly in a random fashion, having been broken of the The Curse of Life.

Year 14

DolmHarm disrupts The Phantom Front, causing a 3 way war on the rivers.
