"The One that Waits will see you soon" - Feredemius' first warning, given through his psionic thralls, the Drakkoths
TODO: CLEAN UP THIS PAGE, JUST PASTING NOTES FROM TRELLO FOR NOW.
- Devoured Isonhound in a wave of shadowfell energies.
- The Shadow Dragon is formally Feredemius the Emerald Dragon who’s lair is based out of the undermountain known as the Citadel of Huldus.
- He is trying to break THROUGH Quelmar to get to the FeyWild.
- He also wants to steal Dragon Eggs that he can use to attain immortality through consistent rebirth.
- A long time ago charmed and controlled Drakkoths in the mountain area as his personal thralls around the region.
- The player Joshua had a vision of his emergence: "You see before you the end of all things. The great black dragon rises up from the dark depths, its eyes glowing with a terrible green light. A tower looms in the background, its top disappearing into the clouds. The mountains trembles and explodes, sending a shower of rock and dust into the air. The world is coming to an end. In the distance, you can make out five figures dressed in purple, green, white, blue, and orange. They're calling something, but you're deaf. They must be doing this. You can't understand how; it must be their fault. Their fault! Their fault! This is their fault! The end of the world is their fault! But you can stop it! You must stop the big black dragon before it is too late!”
- Rumors say that Feredemius is manipulating LongFang on the surface to get him to open the door.
- Nowadays is often encountered by heroes in the woods through a shadowy visage (not the physical dragon).
- When he does this he imitates Keller’s mountain table - a slow moving wave of darkness slowly encroaching on the players, uses the Emerald Gem GreatWyrm stats but shadow flavored.
- Especially targets Gem Dragons (as vengeance against the court and his people) and other dragons (who refused his call to help him escape)
- Has charmed Father Mel and an Amethyst Dragon in [Fallhorn] City where he has converted a cult of Att-Annallo into secretly worshipping himself.
Modus Operandi[edit | edit source]
Minions[edit | edit source]
To complete his infiltration all around Isonhound, the One That Waits whispered dark psionic messages that corrupted many factions and forces, ushering them to do his bidding while he laid trapped inside the Northern Snowy Mountains. These minions included:
- Longfang
- As a dragon, he himself had many minions of his own which fought for his mission, which was in turn Feredemius' mission. Namely the Cheshire Goblins.
- The Mothers, a coven of corrupted night hags which then became Shadow Hags, operating out of Apara.
- Feredemius used the name The Shadow Lord when psionically influencing the hags, making them believe they were serving an even greater more chaotic dark fey presence. Unknowingly to them, he was just influencing the hags to cause problems in places where Dragons could not reach, such as Seglock.
- This included Gregory, the most power-hungry of the hags' own thralls, who climbed the latter and started convening with the "Shadow Lord" himself.
- The Servants of Att-Annalo, operating out of Fallhorn City.
- Gideon (Post Umbral Flood)
- Several Claimed Souls of the Greedy Green Heroes
- The Hound of Morkenshire, Umbra, Dr. "Morum" Mortimer, and The Many.
- The Hound, Umbra, and the Many were called back by TOWIE, and the Shadow Legionnaire was sent out to finish the job.
History[edit | edit source]
The first warning of Feredemius' eventual escape and flooding of the land came in the form of a message delivered in draconic by one of this thralls, a Drakkoth who was working for Feredemius in the siege of Hallasen. The siege successfully drew out and ruined the followers of Eros, known as the Lunarans. This pinpointed attack seemed to have been his first major offense against the old Ruby Court members.
