The War of Dragons (785-850 PR) was the contemporaneous name of The War of Many Names when it first began in 785 PR. When the war moved beyond dragons and began to devour the realm in great factions of civil war as well, it evolved into another war entirely: Realm War II.

History[edit | edit source]

The War of Dragons most notably included the largest force of Draconian armies across Quelmar ever, who fought on the beaches of Kiston but also in various remote deployments of soldiers to all corners of the realm.

This chapter of the war was most notably the backdrop of the Quelmar campaign Into the Greedy Green.

This war was notable for being the first fought against the dragons using Airships, allowing the earth-bound heroes to take the fight to the skies against the dragons.

This specific "war" (really a chapter of the The War of Many Names) is typically marked by Tiamat's success over Bahamut, and his death on the battlefield in 850 PR.

Precursor Events[edit | edit source]

Signs of Tiamat's return and her war against the realm were being forseen for over a century before she truly returned, as evidenced by the slow and steady re-appearances of her fated Ten Heralds of Tiamat and their Razing of Isonhound.

Veterans of Kragnux[edit | edit source]

These heroes fought in Osugbo and also in Kiston, sometimes under direct orders of the Dragon-slaying god Kragnux (Deity). They were also directly responsible for helping bring Bahamut back to fight Tiamat, an event known as The Sundown.

Veterans From Katharda's Class[edit | edit source]

These heroes were raised at a special school in the underdark specifically for training new warriors to join the war.

Veterans From the Greedy Green[edit | edit source]

These heroes fought in Isonhound but also specifically flew to Kiston to fight in the war directly.

They were also directly responsible for helping bring Sardior back to fight Tiamat, an event known as The Battle of Five Lights.
